Rakesh Sidana at SV SHARKS

CO-INVEST : CO-BUILD – that’s what I decided when I launched my family business SIDANA VENTURES.

I met over 1000 founders from the last few months, the majority 90% founders don’t know –

– how much to raise funds to achieve their next milestone.

Usage plans are never accurate. The unseen circumstances like vendors stopping supplying, team issues, tech issues, etc, etc that can delay the next milestone.

Sitting on the other side of the table, I have seen investors challenge to find the right startup to invest in. Are they supporting the right founder, finding a strong team, decent valuation, and right big category, and the possibility of exit returns, etc.

Talking to investors in my network, almost all look for one thing strongly is-

– How great is the founder His passion and execution abilities.

Many times I felt the founder behave like he just needs funds, the rest he will do himself (mujhe sab kuch aata hai, bas fund de do).

I believe in co-building along with a domain experts founders and help them focus on things which they can do best and leave the rest to us – fundraising, strategies for scaling, and lead generation.

At the last event (in the video) at SV SHARKS 2.0, I have been explaining SIDANA VENTURES thesis doing three things

– Invest at Every Stage of Funding (grants to seed to growth).

– Save 90% of Founders’ time in Fundraising and let them focus on business building.

– Co-Building and become a part of their success journey.

Looking forward to work with you 🙂 Meet me at next SV SHARKS 3.0 again
